On-Site Construction Project Manager -- Paramax Homes (Vancouver, BC)
Paramax Homes is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to join our Vancouver-based team. Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, this role offers the opportunity to lead a variety of high-end custom homes and multi-residential townhouse developments across the Lower Mainland. What Your Day Might Look Like:
At Paramax, no two days are alike---but they're always productive. As a Construction Project Manager, you'll oversee every stage of the build---from site prep and permits to final occupancy. Whether you're working with trades to finalize scope, coordinating city inspections, reviewing budgets and schedules, or meeting with clients and consultants, your goal is to deliver quality homes, on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full construction lifecycle:
pre-construction planning, execution, and closeout
- Manage site progress, trade coordination, and construction schedules
- Work closely with the in-house accounting team to monitor budgets, change orders, and vendor invoices
- Act as the primary liaison between consultants, engineers, city staff, and homeowners
- Lead site meetings, track milestones, and ensure compliance with all municipal and safety requirements
- Identify and resolve issues to minimize delays and ensure quality standards
- Mentor and support junior team members and site staff
- Drive continuous improvement by contributing to internal systems, templates, and process enhancements
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience in residential or multi-residential construction management
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, municipal permitting, and BC Building Code
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously
- Comfortable using project management software (Buildertrend experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work collaboratively with office and site staff, vendors, and clients
