We are expanding our Aviation practice and seeking a Project Director - Aviation Infrastructure. This role is key to developing and growing GHD's Aviation services. Responsibilities include:
- Leading aviation projects within a multidisciplinary design environment
- Negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors, drafting professional service agreements, and overseeing their review and execution
- Managing project teams to ensure compliance with contracts, monitoring subcontractor performance, resolving disputes, and reviewing invoices
- Delivering projects on budget, schedule, and quality standards, providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle
- Developing and managing project quality assurance, communication, and reporting procedures
- Coordinating communication with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies, and serving as an expert witness when needed
- Identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company's capabilities through client interactions and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with airside/landside aviation experience; graduate degree and MBA preferred
- Strong project management experience in Canada, especially with large multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience with alternative project delivery methods (P3, DB) and managing teaming arrangements
- Knowledge of GTAA and other Canadian aviation agencies
- Minimum 15 years of relevant project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and team management skills; proficient in project financial management and computer skills
