Your opportunity
Dillon's Communications Group is looking for a summer Communications Intern. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of communications and social media functions in support of our ongoing marketing and communications efforts.
At Dillon, we operate as one team. The successful candidate will be based at our Saint John office.
This is a full-time, paid summer internship from June 9th until August 29th, 2025 . We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement optionsto help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and post content to all Dillon‐affiliated social media platforms
- Post content to external website (Dillon.ca) including news releases, Dillon people profiles and project updates.
- Post content to internal website (insideDILLON) including success stories (new projects, innovative project approaches), New Dillon Staff, people and corporate updates, community involvement stories, etc.
- Monitor digital media for Dillon‐related stories
- Support the Manager, Internal Communications with other projects as requested
Qualifications
- A recent grad, or has recently completed the second or third year of a post-secondary program in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
Experience
- Eager to learn and develop hands-on experience in internal and external communications
- A strong communicator with solid writing and editing skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Able to multitask
- Accountable and responsible
- Comfortable working with business software applications and Microsoft Office Suite
