Overview
The Concessions Runner plays a key support role in the food and beverage operations of the venue. This position is responsible for receiving, distributing, and restocking product throughout the venue during events, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in all storage and concession areas. The Concessions Runner ensures that stands are fully stocked, equipment is clean and functioning, and all F\&B operational needs are met efficiently and accurately. Due to the nature of this venue, the successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.20 CAD and is tip eligible.
This is a seasonal role from approximately June 1st 2025- October 15th 2025.
EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with receiving and distribution control for F\&B in the venue.
- Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
- Fulfils all event expectations including but not limited to delivering product to stands during events, post-event clean-up and break-down, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each stand for each event; rotate products FIFO and maintain integrity of products.
- Ensure proper transfer process of products between locations, including follow-up documentation.
- Responsible for concession and other F\&B equipment cleaning and maintenance: portable equipment, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting.
- Conduct walk-through of the warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
Qualifications
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Smart Server certification required.
- Hospitality experience or similar venue experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including co-workers, customers and management which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to work at pace and under pressure.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Food handling certification is preferred.
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
