Role: Senior Electrical DesignerType: Permanent FTELocation: 5x/week onsite in Mississauga, ONSalary: $120,000/yrJOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is looking for a Senior Electrical Designer who will be responsible for the development of electrical control panel schematics for various projects. This role involves working from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other relevant data to ensure the successful design and implementation of electrical systems. The Senior Electrical Designer plays a crucial role in project proposals, kick-offs, design reviews, panel fabrication support, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and project closeout.
This is a senior lead role where you will help facilitate workload and mentor junior and intermediate members of the electrical design team and addressing any areas of deficiency within the team. This role will also oversee the ePlan management software, leading the implementation of this software package throughout the organization. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience with ePlan software including: ➢ 5-7 years experience with ePlan Electric P8 (schematics) ➢ 2-3 years experience with ePlan ProPanel ➢ Proficiency in creating 3D macros and using smart wiring/production featuresAutoCAD ElectricalBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEKnowledge of machine safety Z432-16 Knowledge of hazardous area classifications Basic understanding of the equipment and systems installed in the manufacturing facilities for Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Water and Wastewater
