Effective July 1, 2025, the Department of Paediatrics at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, in collaboration with the Division of Paediatric Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children, located at 555 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, is recruiting a full-time, permanent staff physician (1.0 FTE) as an Academic Clinician. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time academic appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
Fellowship training or practice experience in academic general paediatrics or paediatric hospital medicine is preferred.
The candidate should be fully trained in Paediatric Medicine, with an interest and skills in QI/patient safety and/or medical informatics.
The role involves participation in research with an appointment at the SickKids Research Institute at least at the rank of Project Investigator, engaging in teaching, and attending divisional rounds and events. Opportunities exist to combine general paediatric hospital medicine, including complex care, with areas like paediatric palliative care or child maltreatment pediatrics.
Applicants must be proficient in English, hold an MD, MBBS, or equivalent, and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or possess comparable qualifications. They must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Salary ranges from $227,000 to $309,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
