Trenval and Small Business Centre currently seeks aBusiness Services Advisorfor 8 weeks under the Government of Canada's Canada Summer Jobs program. Learn more about the program. The successful candidate must be: Aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;

Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and

Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible.

Collaborate with Summer Company participants to provide guidance on business operations.

Assist Summer Company participants with their inquiries to ensure they meet their program targets and requirements.

Offer business information and resources to support entrepreneurs in growing their ventures.

Assist in identifying solutions to challenges faced by startups.

Help plan, create, and execute marketing campaigns to increase awareness of local businesses.

Develop engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) for Trenval and the Small Business Centre.

Monitor and analyze the performance of social media and marketing initiatives.

Contribute to workshops, networking events, or training sessions as needed.

Maintain accurate records of interactions with businesses and the assistance provided.

Perform general administrative tasks to support the program's success.

Assist in additional tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator and/or Executive Director with the goal of providing business support services to entrepreneurs.
Preferred level of Education-- Post-secondary
Anticipated start date-- May 20, 2025 (or earlier if agreed)
Number of hours per week-- 35; Monday -- Friday 8:30 -- 4:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) with flexibility to work before and after hours for meetings and events if necessary
Location-- On site at Bay of Quinte Business Centre, 284B Wallbridge-Loyalist Road, Belleville, ON K8N 4Z2
Hourly wage rate-- $20.50
A valid driver's license and use of your own vehicle will be required is an asset.
