The HR Business Partner provides proactive HR guidance and support to assigned business units.
Acting as a trusted advisor to all levels of management, this role delivers expert advice, drives HR initiatives, and coaches leaders through a range of workforce issues. It also plays a key role in strengthening business outcomes by enhancing HR programs, improving engagement, and fostering a strong organizational culture. Ensure HR strategy is executed in business units
Operationalize talent management programs and initiatives
Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation and compliance and manages risk for the business unit
Collaborate with managers on workforce planning and employee development
Act as an employee champion and change agent, ensuring internal equity and staff wellness
Work with managers on disability claims and return to work/accommodation
Identify and implements employee engagement events and activities
Report on HR metrics for business unit
What You've DoneUniversity degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field requiredCPHR designation is considered an asset
Minimum 5-7 years of Human Resources experience as a Generalist, Advisor or Business PartnerExperience using an enterprise-scale Human Capital Management System (HCMS)Proficiency using the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Knowledge of other relevant legislation including employment standards across provinces, privacy, and human rights
Demonstrated skills in understanding the importance and sensitivity around privacy and confidentiality.Able to think analytically, conceptually and systematically to resolve problems
Strategic mindset but ability and willingness to be very hands on
Ability to influence and interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization
