Position Purpose: The Food Service Account Manager reports to the Division Sales Director and is responsible for hiring, training, and managing a sales team. The role involves driving strategic same-store sales growth through educating customers on category management, foodservice programs, and business solutions. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership in achieving customer and sales growth objectives.
Compensation: $80,000
Primary Responsibilities:
- Growing OpCo same-store sales with convenience and foodservice programs.
- Collaborating with operations on inventory control and food safety.
- Utilizing selling technology and enterprise strategies effectively.
- Tracking sales performance and productivity.
- Developing pricing and marketing strategies for various customer segments.
- Leading sales meetings and participating in trade shows.
- Conducting weekly field visits with sales personnel.
- Achieving goals related to corporate programs.
- Building relationships with current and potential customers.
- Training and mentoring sales staff on initiatives and policies.
- Fostering interpersonal relationships based on openness and trust.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements:
50% travel, including driving to customer locations and possible overnight stays.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Ability to work both in-office and in the field (1-2 days/week).
- Skills in analyzing sales data and presenting insights.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- At least 5+ years in sales, including business development and account management.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams of over 10 associates.
- Own a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance with a clean driving record.
