Your future team:
You will become part of the Sourcing and Procurement Team and will report to the Procurement Director in North America. The team currently consists of 13 members, including category management, purchasing, and a procurement analyst.
What you will be doing:
As a key player in our dynamic team, you will lead sourcing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring cost savings and supplier performance. Your negotiation skills will be essential in building relationships with suppliers and securing advantageous contracts. You will also manage projects, drive cost optimization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze markets, and identify improvement opportunities. We are looking for a proactive professional with a proven procurement track record.
Typical daily activities include:
- Identifying new supply sources for cost savings, efficiency, and continuity.
- Building strong supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Overseeing inbound logistics and supplier relationships.
- Monitoring market information, indexes, forecasts, and cost drivers.
- Seeking cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborating with other teams to align procurement with business goals.
- Managing supply chain risks.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Building relationships to support team and company success.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 10 years of procurement experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in packaging, food, CPG, or chemical procurement is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight, including intermodal, is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of purchasing principles, tendering, supplier management, and relationship building.
