We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Estimator specializing in interior systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be based in Halifax and play a key role in managing bids for our projects across the Maritime provinces, including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador .
🎯 Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and institutional projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and tender documents.
- Request and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop bid budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to execution.
- Attend site visits when necessary.
🧰 Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in interior systems (drywall, partitions, suspended ceilings, etc.).
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency with estimating software.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required ;
French is considered an asset .
