Job Description Pension Support Administrator Location Burlington, ON :
Please note that this role will be on-site at our office in Burlington, Ontario. Once settled into the role, the position will evolve to hybrid.
** Indigenous candidates are encouraged to self-declare in a cover letter ** We are looking for a Pension Support Administrator to join our team in Burlington. The Pension Support Administrator provides support to pension client members who are terminating or retiring from their groups sponsored plans
The administrative support will be specific to member inquiries related to pension withdrawals and other transactions which do not requiring licensing.
The Pension Support Administrator will:
- First-line intake of incoming phone calls,
- Field pension client member-related incoming correspondence (for example, pension projections, investment changes, beneficiary changes),
- Administer or transact pension member account cash-outs and other similarly related administration which do not require licensing,
- Over time, correspond with pension members.
- In concert with the pension consultant and key pension administrative member, support pension plans by assisting plan administrators with day-to-day administration concerns and/or questions,
- Gather relevant data from various sources and input in Excel spreadsheets,
- Use data analytics tools (i.e. Excel) to analyze and process data,
- Review and validate report outputs for accuracy and completeness,
- Address discrepancies or anomalies for formatting errors,
To be successful as a Pension Support Administrator, you will need:
- Strong administrative skills,
- Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to stay organized
- Experience in the pension/retirement industry is considered an asset but NOT a necessity,
- Experience with defined contribution pension plan structures, governance and legislation is considered an asset but NOT a necessity,
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Power Point and OneNote),
- The ability to collaborate well within a team and independently,
- Outstanding listening and communication skills, including excellent and proficient written, skills,
- ability to communicate effectively over the phone, encompassing active listening, clear articulation, and professional tone
- Strong interpersonal and professional skills when dealing with clients, office staff etc.
