Overview:
Premier America Credit Union is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. The CFO will lead the financial stewardship of the organization and play a critical role in shaping and executing enterprise strategy. In this role, the CFO will guide the alignment of financial resources with our evolving business model and provide leadership that fosters cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and long-term sustainability.
The ideal candidate brings not only deep technical and financial expertise, but also a demonstrated ability to think multidimensionally, act with integrity, and communicate with clarity and influence at all levels of the organization.
What You Will Do:
Provide strategic financial leadership in support of the credit union's short- and long-term goals, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and the evolving business model.
Collaborate closely with fellow senior executive leaders to ensure enterprise-wide alignment and support the delivery of an exceptional member experience.
Leverage business intelligence and data to generate forward-looking insights and decision-support for enterprise risk, growth initiatives, capital investments, and strategic trade-offs.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario planning processes with a focus on value creation, risk mitigation, and long-term financial sustainability.
Build and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team capable of delivering operational excellence while creating time and capacity for strategic thinking.
Serve as a skilled communicator, able to translate complex financial information into compelling narratives for a wide range of stakeholders, including the board, regulators, and internal teams.
Lead engagement with regulatory and oversight agencies (including NCUA) to ensure transparency, compliance, and strategic readiness for regulatory changes.
Maintain oversight of asset/liability management, liquidity, investments, and capital allocation strategy.
Partner across departments to identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and process improvement in alignment with enterprise objectives.
Ensure the financial integrity of the credit union through effective controls, governance practices, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Serve on executive committees including ALCO, the Finance Committee, and as trustee of the 401(k) Plan.
Cultivate a culture of strategic execution by helping prioritize initiatives, allocate resources intentionally, and foster accountability.
Lead with curiosity, adaptability, and responsiveness to emerging priorities and environmental shifts.
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, preferably in a credit union or banking environment.
Proven track record of aligning financial strategy with enterprise goals, managing financial complexity, and enabling growth in evolving markets.
Deep knowledge of ALM, financial reporting, forecasting, risk assessment, capital planning, and investment management.
Demonstrated experience leading through ambiguity and making sound decisions in the absence of complete data.
Ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence; able to build trust and influence across the organization.
Experience working directly with board members and regulatory bodies, including preparation of board materials and regulatory filings.

Paygrade:
To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay range for this position is: $375K-400K annually.
