As a TELUS Health Fitness & Wellness Consultant, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes, monitoring the fitness centre, and promoting health and wellness among our client employee population.
Key Responsibilities:
Wellness Programming and Engagement:
Design and deliver fitness and wellness programs that support employee well-being, including campaigns, workshops, wellness challenges focused on physical activity, nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle improvement
Confidently deliver engaging presentations on a wide range of wellness topics with the ability to connect with diverse audiences from across the organization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess employee needs and deliver targeted wellness programs that drive participation, support company culture, and align with organizational health and well-being goals
Facility Management:
Oversee gym usage, ensuring member safety and providing expert guidance and 1:1 consultation
Lead and schedule a variety of onsite and virtual fitness classes
Supervise the corporate fitness and wellness center during operational hours
Maintain equipment, recommending replacements and new purchases as needed
Ensure completion of GAQ health screening forms and waivers for all members
Administrative Duties:
Track and report monthly/quarterly usage statistics
Monitor class participation rates
Manage membership forms, including annual waiver forms
Qualifications
What you will contribute:
Education & Certifications:
Kinesiology, Fitness, or Health Promotion degree/diploma
Current group fitness instructor certification
Current personal training certification
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
Core Competencies:
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Advanced organizational and time management abilities
Proficient with technology and quick to learn new software
Superior customer service skills
