Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? Candidate will be responsible for providing first and second line application support within RBC Capital Markets. The incumbent will take on application knowledge of multiple applications in this space and help with performing technical analysis, troubleshooting of incidents and service disruptions, infrastructure compliance and IT Risk related action items, documentation, etc. across the supported applications. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with Operations business stakeholders through regular reporting of customer-visible incident / problem items against availability requirements and service terms; incisive trend reporting for visible incidents with biweekly frequency or (periodically) on a demand basis. What will you do? Proactively acts on issues and works with the development team on resolving recurrent problems in the short and long term. Performs system monitoring, troubleshooting and status reporting to management. Participates in infrastructure scheduling, coordination, and maintenance activities. Promotes the relationship of trust and partnership with business clients and other RBCCM IT teams. Prioritizes constantly in order to properly and efficiently respond to business needs. Engages in usage of innovation capabilities within the RTB team to operate productively and effectively. Project Coordination for upcoming changes till implementation phase Manage Audit, Compliance, Vulnerabilities related work by coordinating with CTB, Infrastructure team Participates in Disaster Recovery Exercise for the Global Credit Applications What do you need to succeed? Must-have 8+ years of experience production support Technical Expertise in iSeries, Linux, Windows, Database, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, ControlM, StoneBranch. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to manage multiple priorities and keep management informed. Strong Analytical thinking – able to solve problems in complex environments. Nice-to-have ITIL Certification Capital Market Domain Incident Management software – including problem and change management using enterprise tools such as ServiceNow. Basic understanding of the Credit life cycle in Capital Markets arena and Global Credit systems. What’s in it for you?
