Flexible Work Agreement Type Hybrid / Hybride Posting End Date 2025-06-15 Job Grade L4 Pay Range Commensurate with Experience / Selon l’expérience Job Summary Reporting to the Vice-President Chief Technology and Information Officer, the Assistant Vice-President of Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) is responsible for managing a team of technology professionals to identify, plan, implement, maintain and support NAV CANADA’s business applications and solutions. This role is a critical element of the overall Technology function and has the mandate to ensure business systems meet the current and future needs of the various business functions across the organization. In doing so, the role must have a clear understanding of business requirements and direction to properly align IT application related resources and investments. Job Description What NAV CANADA offers you: Challenging, team-oriented work environment Competitive compensation and benefits Defined benefit pension plan Opportunities for growth and development Flexible work arrangements Diverse and inclusive workforce Key Accountabilities: Responsible for the overall capability, stability & performance of NAV CANADA’s business application solutions portfolio and related services Identifies, develops, implements and continually refines strategies, metrics, practices and procedures for the implementation, management and reporting of systems and process performance Ensure technology strategies and plans are developed and executed upon to ensure NAV CANADA’s business technology advances to take advantage of industry trends and maintains current with vendor support and compliance requirements Establishes and manages operating and capital budgets for on-going operations as well as for all major investment initiatives Provides coaching, mentorship and positive leadership of the Business Solutions team to maintain a healthy and productive workplace Works effectively and in a highly collaborative fashion with the broader Senior Management team at NAV CANADA Develops strategic, ongoing stakeholder relationships, gaining the trust and respect to enable business goals and objectives Maintains effective and positive relationships with strategic vendors and service partners to ensure NAV CANADA receives the expected value from existing and new applications systems What you bring: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, information Technology or Business Administration Experience: 10+ years’ experience as a senior IT leader Minimum of 8 years progressive leadership experience required Proven track record in driving IT application strategy and delivery services as well as driving change Experience developing, promoting, and successfully implementing cross-functional programs in a large, diverse and complex environment Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategic direction Knowledge and abilities: Extensive knowledge of enterprise application functions, technology and market Extensive knowledge of industry best practices, methodologies and techniques for planning, delivering and managing business applications Strong analytic and decision-making skills, with a proven ability to provide well thought out recommendations and advice Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks Motivates and inspires people from different functions and cultures and aligns teams from across the business with a unifying vision of the future Builds reciprocal relationships and alliances across the business in order to successfully collaborate Obtains broad support and buy-in for initiatives, leveraging relationships with key senior leaders Makes judgements on what will secure the best value for resources invested Innovates and encourages early adoption of new ideas Working Conditions: This position is based at the Ottawa Head Office location, 151 Slater Street, Ottawa and is a hybrid position with a minimum - 3 day(s) per week on site.
