Closing Date 2025-05-15 LOCATION: CHATHAM, KENT Working Hours: Fri – Mon 9am – 6.45pm (4 day compressed week) Salary: £35,000 Manage shift team of Water Quality Technicians to deliver water and wastewater sampling activities to meet the needs of Southern Water and the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI)/Environment Agency (EA) regulatory programme requirements. · Co-ordinate scheduling of sampling events and team resource to ensure collection of samples within required timescales and delivery of regulatory sampling programmes. · Provide guidance to team ensuring sampling activities adhere to Southern Water quality systems and comply with the quality accreditation standards as required under ISO/IEC 17025 and Monitoring Certification Scheme for equipment (MCERTS). · Support the Sampling Manager in the day-to-day operations and deputising in their absence. · Maintain equipment register and ensure equipment is suitably maintained and within calibration/servicing dates. · Assist QMS Team with annual audits required for Water Quality Technicians. · Train and maintain competency as a potable Water Quality Technician. · Provide guidance to team ensuring that they always adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures. · Participate in out of hours standby rota.
