This full-time temporary assignment will run from 09/09/2025 – 12/19/2025 Job Description: Major Job Responsibilities: Support the Corporate Development team in the sourcing, evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, joint ventures, commercial agreements, and other growth opportunities Develop and update complex financial models to support potential investment opportunities and guide strategic decisions Review financial projections and synthesize your insights, findings, key analysis and supporting documents in business cases Assist in the development of the strategic planning process, creation of presentations and templates Screen potential industries, sectors and acquisition candidates and update target company database Conduct competitive and landscape analysis in support of key business metrics and objectives Conduct benchmarking of other industry participants and competitors, locally and globally Stay updated with emerging market trends and best practices Assemble and synthesize due diligence information on potential M&A transactions (products, operating facilities, key capabilities, ownership, financial performance, etc.) Support the broader Finance organization with ad-hoc strategic projects, including Investor Relations analyses and presentations Specific Skills: Strong business acumen and judgment Attention to detail, ability to manage projects under pressure to meet tight deadlines excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A flexible & problem-solving mindset Strong analytical, valuation and research skills Competency using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Fluency in English (spoken and written) and fluency is Spanish is a plus Knowledge, Education & Experience: Understanding of financial modeling (including DCF, comparables and precedent valuations) and corporate finance concepts Ability to build models using sensitivity analysis that allow for dynamic ‘what if’ situations Pursuing or completed a post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Strategy or relevant disciplines Prior experience in M&A, financial and valuation analysis, modeling, business analysis and data-driven financial analysis At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
