Job Title: Project Finance Analyst
Job Description
The Project Finance Analyst will provide effective financial administrative planning and control on assigned projects and contracts. This role involves developing program Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for earned value and project management purposes, enhancing analytic capabilities. The analyst will perform program cost and schedule performance analysis, identify trends, and provide information to the Project Leadership Team for corrective actions. Additionally, the role includes preparation and analysis of Estimates at Complete (EAC’s) and complete financial support to assigned program teams.
Responsibilities
Provide financial administrative planning and control on projects/contracts.
Develop Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for enhanced analytic capabilities.
Analyze program cost and schedule performance, identify trends, and inform Project Leadership Team.
Prepare and analyze Estimates at Complete (EAC’s) and provide financial support to program teams.
Support Program Management in assessing program risks and opportunities.
Assist teams in preparation for weekly meetings and program reviews.
Support site leadership and program management in monthly sales forecasts and budgeting.
Communicate effectively, work as a team player, and understand business systems and policies.
Assist General Accounting with month-end journal entries and accruals.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, contractual requirements, and GAAP.
Support site financial requirements for annual operating plans, rate determinations, and other projects.
Manage unexpected events, meet critical deadlines with quality results, and support site objectives.

Work Environment
This position is based in Waterloo, Ontario, with working hours from 9am to 5pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The role requires four days in the office, or two days if the candidate resides over 45 minutes away. The dress code is business casual. There is a possibility for overtime, extension, and conversion to a permanent position. The team consists of three members, including the analyst.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
