Your role on our team: As a Sustainability Analyst you will play a key role in advancing the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. This dynamic position blends data analysis, strategic planning, and creative communication to support Minto’s commitment to sustainable living and operational excellence.
In this role, you will:
Promote resident education, engagement, and wellness, emphasizing sustainable living and community well-being
Lead sustainability communications, crafting engaging content aligned with Minto’s ESG strategy
Support measurement and verification of projects to track energy and carbon performance
Analyze energy and water consumption data to identify efficiency opportunities and benchmark building performance
Support the development of a long-term Net Zero Carbon plan for Minto’s portfolio
Evaluate and implement new sustainable technologies and pilot programs
Assist in preparing specifications and business cases for capital projects and incentive programs
Foster a sustainability-driven culture across departments, encouraging innovation and environmental practices
We would like you to have:
A demonstrated passion for sustainability—shown through academics, extracurriculars, or personal initiatives.
A College Diploma or University Degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Architecture, or Building Science.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex sustainability topics for a variety of audiences.
Strong analytical thinking, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities effectively, and work independently when needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Knowledge of the following is an asset:
Energy Star Portfolio Manager, RETScreen
LEED, Fitwel, Passive House certification systems
Ability to read and understand building drawings and specifications
Experience using Canva or similar tools for visual communication and content creation
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems
