Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic Non-Ferrous Division. This role plays a critical part in the day-to-day flow of materials in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, safety-conscious, and have experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management in a fast-paced industrial environment.What you're responsible for:Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments of non-ferrous materialsAccurately verify materials received and shipped against documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips)Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment safely and efficientlyAssist in inventory control by performing regular cycle counts and maintaining accurate recordsEnsure all shipments comply with company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirementsCommunicate effectively with scale operators, yard personnel, logistics providers, and managementMaintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving areaAssist with loading/unloading trucks as neededQualificationsWhat we offer:You have 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a scrap, recycling, or industrial settingYou have a previous Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) requiredYou have strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentationYou have basic computer skills (experience with inventory systems an asset)You have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding, outdoor environmentYou have knowledge of non-ferrous metals is a strong assetYou have excellent communication and teamwork skills
