Your role Join the People & Culture team at the CBC/Radio-Canada on an exciting journey dedicated to administering leave of absence files while maximizing and optimizing the usage of our Workday platform. Our focus remains ensuring all requests are handled efficiently and in a timely manner. We are currently seeking a dynamic Absence Administrative Support level II to join our Shared Services team. In this role, you will provide crucial administrative support for Disability and Long term absence files. This role demands a strong understanding of our standard operations, HR Policies, collective agreements, tax legislation, labor standards and administrative procedures. Beyond these essential frameworks, the position also provides exciting opportunities to exercise independent judgment and decision making. The responsibilities involve effective coordination with colleagues inside or outside the unit and may include assigning work to junior team members and reviewing their work. Responsibilities: Responsible for the administration of the disability and long term leave by providing administrative expertise to assist employees, managers and Disability Specialist Management in the administration of disability and/or absence files. Verify transactions received to ensure compliance with all programs related to the disability and long-term leave and ensure they are aligned with CBC/Radio-Canada policies, Workday processes, collective agreements, current tax legislation and labor standards. Ensure that all requests are properly authorized and documented. Follow-up with requester, HR Business Partners, third party etc. as required when documentation is incorrect, incomplete or unclear. Deliver accurate and timely processing of all records such as the correct disability benefits payment as per eligibility, payment of rehabilitation hours, estimation of additional family leave benefits (top up), worker’s compensation benefits, or the change of status for employees on disability and long term leave. Ensure that changes have been applied correctly in Workday by reviewing the draft pay results, when required. Responsible for the processing of benefit and pension elections during a long term leave and/or disability leave as per CBC/Radio-Canada Policies/Collective Agreements. Work closely with other areas such as HR Business Partner, Disability Specialist Management, Shared Services to ensure payroll information is appropriately entered in the system and to answer administration questions related to disability and/or long term leave. Assist with the maintenance of templates and processes to ensure Workday remains accurate and that our team has all the necessary tools to do their work efficiently. Handle highly confidential and sensitive data contained in employee files. We are looking for a candidate with the following: Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent. At least two (2) years of experience at the CBC/Radio-Canada or a similar organization in a related field. Bilingualism required, oral and written (French and English). Attention to detail required. Knowledge of Workday or other HR Management systems. Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills and good team player. Discretion, diplomacy and tact when communicating with employees and/or managers. Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times. Good analytical skills and strong ability to solve a variety of problems. Demonstrate good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness. Ability to work overtime.
