The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, providing strategic direction, and planning across a variety of clients. They act as the main point of contact for the client within the organization, working closely with internal project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and following agreed upon strategy.
What You Will Do
Independently manage client relationships and projects, proactively offering sound solutions to issues
Foster and nurture a positive working relationship with internal and external clients through frequent, and professional, strategic communication
Identify opportunities to grow accounts by proposing and introducing new solutions and services based on clients’ needs
Oversee marketing retainers and projects (i.e., Social/SEO retainers, Paid Media, and campaigns) in partnership with subject matter experts
Oversee and manage small to medium scale web development and digital marketing projects from Discovery to Launch
Manage overall project timelines, with the support of Project Managers and Account Coordinators
Uphold day to day expectations for general project management (ensuring daily stand ups, Jira follow up, testing when required, etc.)
Manage overall project budgets and work to find efficiencies while keeping the project within scope
Collaborate with all relevant VERB departments, engaging subject matter experts on projects and new initiatives
Maintain a working knowledge of client brand standards and assets
Uncover and articulate research, insight, and strategic models to help advance the business interests of clients
Keep senior management informed of project progress, ensuring that potential issues affecting client services and projects are communicated early and resolved
Ensure all deliverables are tested, proofed, and reviewed against requirements, creative designs, and strategy to ensure that only high-quality products are submitted for client approval
Own the final quality control for all client-facing deliverables
Mentor Account Coordinators, supporting with their career development and onboarding as necessary
Be a champion for positive employee morale by encouraging and energizing the wider VERB team
2+ years of relevant experience
Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability to present to clients and internal management
Demonstrated experience in digital marketing
Proficiency in administrative tasks, i.e., building decks, pulling together budgets, completing contact reports, etc.
The ability to manage timelines and budgets, while collaborating with subject matter experts who own execution
Highly proactive and demonstrates initiative to find creative solutions to problems
Possesses a working understanding of SEO, SEM, web analytics, social and traditional media
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
