So, if you know where you’re headed, we have the training and career development to help you get there.Job Description Unloads freight from inbound trailersDistributes freight to local P&D BrokersMarks materials with identifying informationRecords amounts of materials or items received or distributedCounts and on occasion is required to weigh items to ensure conformance to the shipper's bill of ladingStarts reefers, placards trailers as requiredArranges freight in specified sequence for maximum usage of trailer spaceMay drive vehicle/tow motor to transport stored items from dock warehouse to the trailerAssembles specific types of equipment such as stake and rack trailers and covering with a vinyl or canvas tarpulanMust take an active role in safety and maintenance of the warehouse by sweeping the floor, proper storage of dunnage, etc.This job has no supervisory responsibilitiesOther duties may be assignedQualificationsStrong math skills including ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals as well as ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent WHIMS/Dangerous Goods Certificate/ Tow motor certificate ( These items are covered with in-house training programs)Developed problem solving, critical thinking, decision making and judgement skillsElectric Pallet JackOn the job learningAdditional Information Profit sharing, Scholarship programTuition reimbursement and more!
