As a Manufacturing Engineer, you plan, design, control, and improve manufacturing processes, materials, and workspace layouts to ensure timely, efficient, accurate, and cost-effective production with superb quality.
Meet Your Future Team:
Under the supervision of Manager, Engineering, you’ll partner with a team of Manufacturing Engineers as well as Technical Developers. You will also collaborate extensively and cross-functionally with the Quality and Production team.

If you were our Manufacturing Engineer now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Identify possible automations / new templates in current sewing operations and develop possible automated solutions to improve current performance in quality and productivity
Identify future machinery/ operator requirements based on the production plan and forward information to relevant Managers/ departments in order to ensure adequate availability of resources to fulfil production requirements.
Monitor and analyse current methods in production by carrying out time study methods such as activity sampling/ motion time analysis, employing the best methods in order to continuously enhance productivity levels whilst ensuring the optimum utility of available resources
Design workstation, attachments, establish best layouts, best methods and execute plans into bulk production
Study new products for feasibility and support its development by applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) methodology including establishing optimal manufacturing methods, creating templates, tooling and fixtures and partnering with our in-house machine shop, to ease manual operations
Collaborate with Production Management to sustain and improve production KPIs through the execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives and process redesign implementations
Design and execute experiments to Root Cause Analysis (RCA),Engineering change request (ECR), systemic production challenges and implement solutions to achieve performance metrics and partner with Quality Engineers to deep dive into opportunities to improve finished goods quality through process design
Are you our next Manufacturing Engineer?
You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
You have previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with an emphasis on industrial engineering, NPI, manufacturing process design, and tooling and fixture design.
You have previous experience working in an apparel or outdoor equipment manufacturing facility with sound knowledge of garment or equipment construction
You have experience collaborating in a highly cross-functional role and supporting teams through execution.
You master continuous improvement and are recognized for facilitating change. You have previous experience in 6S, LEAN manufacturing, machine automation and project management.
You are an effective communicator and have the ability to work with multiple collaborators with competing priorities
You can embrace the ambiguity. You are flexible and you know how to initiating action. You have strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Building relationship is your other strength. You can balance autonomy and collaboration with strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with difficult situation with tact and professionalism.

$82,000 - $102,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$82,000 - CAD$102,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
