Our mental health program provides a broad range of services in schools and the community as well as day treatment programs and inpatient care when needed. DESCRIPTION A Registered Dietitian is required to offer nutrition counseling to patients and families in the Eating Disorders Program. The Eating Disorders program includes an inpatient unit, a new partial hospitalization program, a day treatment program, and outpatient services. The Dietitian will be part of an interdisciplinary team offering services to children and youth who have severe eating disorders. The Dietitian is a member of the CHEO Discipline of Dietitians and participates in the hospital wide on-call system. Le programme de lutte contre les troubles de l’alimentation comprend une unité d’hospitalisation, un nouveau programme d’hospitalisation partielle, un programme de traitement de jour et des services de consultation externe. Le ou la diététiste fera partie d’une équipe interdisciplinaire qui offre des services aux enfants et aux jeunes qui souffrent de troubles de l’alimentation graves. Il ou elle est membre de la discipline des diététistes de CHEO et participe au service de garde de tout l’Hôpital. DESCRIPTION DU TRAVAIL Fournir des conseils nutritionnels initiaux et de suivi aux patients et aux familles dans le cadre du programme de lutte contre les troubles de l’alimentation. Planifier les soins alimentaires des patients hospitalisés qui doivent suivre un régime thérapeutique ou modifié; tenir des dossiers alimentaires précis et bien à jour sur les patients et fournir des instructions et un soutien aux patients et aux familles sur les aspects diététiques de leurs traitements. Fournir aux personnes des renseignements pertinents sur l’alimentation en personne, virtuellement ou par téléphone, au besoin. Offrir un enseignement approfondi aux familles et à d’autres professionnels de la santé, ce qui comprend des internes en diététique. Assurer son propre perfectionnement professionnel afin de développer l’expertise de ses spécialités.
