POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will help plan, design, build, and launch systems that support key business, financial, and operational processes. You will collect and analyze data to support business cases and project plans and create reports that explain system issues and suggest solutions.
Your work will focus on four main areas:
- Business Analysis: Learn and document how the business works.
- Systems Analysis: Find solutions that involve people, processes, and technology.
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage projects to ensure timely delivery
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Oversee comprehensive testing to confirm system reliability and performance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Manage the IT requirements for business transformation projects
Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
Collaborate across teams in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and system enhancements, and coordinate thorough testing, user reviews, and post-implementation support to ensure successful delivery and adoption
Assess the feasibility, timelines, and cost estimates of IT projects, performing cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support informed decision-making and resource prioritization.
Lead design and prototyping sessions to develop system proposals that enhance business processes, operational efficiency, and information flow.
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement, and define the scope, parameters, and measurable outcomes for system analysis to drive strategic enhancements.
Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Develop comprehensive system documentation—including models, specifications, and diagrams—to guide development teams, and deliver actionable reports and recommendations to address current and potential application issues across the organization.
Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems and 5 years related work experience.
3-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on business systems improvements.
1-3 years’ experience managing business transformation projects.
Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
In-depth knowledge of ERP and HRIS systems, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Highline Personality.
Strong understanding of database operations, data retrieval methodologies, and database hardware/software standards.
Proven ability to lead and support projects, applying sound planning, organization, and execution strategies.
Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving abilities; logical and detail-oriented approach.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts in user-friendly terms.
Skilled in conducting research into systems issues and evaluating software/hardware solutions.
Highly self-motivated, efficient, and capable of prioritizing and executing tasks effectively under pressure.
Strong team player with a customer-focused mindset and a proven track record of success in collaborative environments.
