Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician (EDI) on a full-time permanent basis for our Corporate Accounting team.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and a knack for staying organized in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with vendors to resolve invoicing issues, leveraging expertise in EDI systems to support reprogramming efforts and ensure successful invoice transmission.
Serve as the primary contact for local Co-op inquiries, issuing debit/credit memos and processing necessary account adjustments.
Lead the setup and maintenance of EDI invoicing for new vendor accounts, including testing, monitoring compliance, and troubleshooting as needed.
Act as a subject matter expert in retail billing and EDI processes, providing guidance on system upgrades, new requirements, and related initiatives.
Other duties as required.
The Team: As one of two Accounting Technicians focused on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), you’ll join a collaborative team of Technicians and Processing Clerks, working closely with our finance business unit and cross-functional partners like commodity teams, suppliers, local Co-ops, and independent customers. Have a high school diploma, four post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution, and one year of relevant accounting experience.
Working in processing is an asset.
