Consider joining us, if you enjoy:Connecting guests to the extraordinary place we call home.Discovering a broad offering of career pathsLearning and thriving among a group of international hospitality professionalsBeing passionate about people and attentive to the world - we are globetrotters!Going beyond the walls of our hotel to support our community.Taking pride in our differencesThen this could be THE perfect opportunity for you, and we cannot wait to welcome you.#WeAreHamiltonPrincessJob DescriptionSummary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesDemonstrate Accor core values in all interactionsEstablish and maintain quantitative standards of performance and utilize performance management principles to maximize productivityAssist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful wayRespond promptly to service requests from all facility departments and outlets.Ensure all physical operations including Kitchen Equipment, Propane Gas Equipment, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical Systems, Water Treatment and Supply, Laundry Systems and Utilities are maintained to standardEnsure routine preventative maintenance of systems and equipment are maintained, documented and resolved promptly according to equipment standard requirementsAssist with monitoring and managing a cost effective energy management programme and monitor the hotel’s Energy Management Systems (EMS)Conduct regular inspections of facility and surrounding areas and perform maintenance and service as requiredObserve and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctionsDismantle and reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs Assist with developing and monitoring an effective inventory control process for designated suppliesEnsure that collaborative working relationships are established and maintained with relevant vendorsAssist with hotel compliance to all Government regulations pertaining to building code requirements, health, fire and life safety programmesEnsure prompt and/or immediate response to maintenance requests from our guests, colleagues and management of the HotelComply with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautionsActively participate in the hotel’s energy management, emergency preparedness, occupational health & safety and environmental programmesStrict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).Perform any other duties, tasks, training and assignments within your department as requiredQualificationsA 4th Class Power Engineering is required; in the absence of certification, the candidate must have the ability to obtain certification within a timeframe set by the hotel Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude is required, a Degree/diploma in Engineering, Building Management, Mechanics or appliance trade certification is strongly preferredMinimum of 3 years management experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel is requiredProven record of sound technical judgment and working knowledge of Building Systems and Testing EquipmentProvide Health & Safety certification and adhere to the policies and procedures, including emergency procedures, hurricane preparedness, loss prevention protocols, WHMIS, MSDS etc.Demonstrated knowledge of all regulations such as building codes, fire and health department requirementsAbility to read, understand and interpret Engineering and Building BlueprintsProven leadership and team development skillsStrong organizational, project management, analytical and problem solving skills is an assetMust be computer literate and have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and awareness of cutting edge facilities and energy management technologies and strategiesCommitment to advanced training and development of Building Systems technologies is required.Must be able to read, write, speak English fluentlyStrong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable with the ability to be flexible and work extended hours including evenings, public holidays and weekends as required Additional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 2 – 6 hours a day Requires constant repetitive motionEnvironmental stress is high – work in extreme weather conditions, high noise level and utilize hazardous machinery
