One Full-Time Permanent Senior Human Resources Generalist position available, working 37.5 hours per week. Starting on June 16, 2025.

Your Role:
Takes a leadership role in the provision of Human Resource services to employees of Starling Community Services.
Provides HR leadership and advises on matters related to policy interpretation and compliance, recruitment, employee performance and development, Health and Safety, employee leaves and accommodations, and employee relations.
Provides supervision to HR Generalists.
Ensures all Human Resource strategies adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements.
Works in alignment with the agency’s commitment to equity to further create a sense of belonging at the Agency.
As a member of the Agency Leadership Team, participates in agency planning, organizing and implementing processes.
Works with HR leadership to ensure all recruitment and on-boarding strategies, workflows, and processes are in compliance with legislation and organizational policies and practices.
Assists leaders in the development and writing of job descriptions.
Promotes and supports the Agency’s Mission and Vision by being positive and supportive to all employees.
Responsible for screening, interviewing and hiring of new team members within area of responsibility, in consultation with the Director of Human Resources.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the agency Policy and Procedures electronic manual and informing employees of changes to such.
Your Talents and Experience:
A degree in human resources management or related field. CHRL designation preferred.
Five years of experience in Human Resources, coupled with supervisory and leadership experience within a non-profit, social service or health service organization desired.
Experience in the design and delivery of employee training and development initiatives an asset.
Intimate knowledge of human resources practices, labour law, health and safety/WHMIS legislation, Human Rights Code, Pay Equity and Employment Standards Act essential.
Leads using a responsive approach and has an ability to inspire and influence others.
Proven ability to lead collaboratively and to apply strategic, innovative, and creative thinking to the design of agency programs and problem solving.
Thrives on change and opportunities to develop agency programs to meet evolving needs.
Demonstrates self-awareness and alignment with the agency’s commitment to equity, including demonstrating equitable practices in their leadership.
Previous experience in the coaching of others with the ability to achieve high levels of customer engagement desired.
Demonstrates exceptional organization, communication, and analytical skills.
Has an ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in the Microsoft suit with intimate working knowledge of the internet required.
Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems required.
Demonstrates behaviour consistent with the Agency’s Leadership Values.
