As a Maintenance Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Maintenance & Reliability, you’ll be at the forefront of safeguarding Petro Canada’s wholesale locations across the country—keeping our operations running smoothly and future-proofing our assets. Minimum Requirements: Engineering degree with Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation (preferred) 5 years of relevant experience in Maintenance and Reliability or 10 years managing petroleum maintenance and capital projects. Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively across departments, management levels, and external stakeholders Expertise in executing capital and expense budgets efficiently while leveraging business opportunities Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, tackling unique challenges across varied assets and regional differences Proficiency in interpreting inspection data and developing prioritized plans to enhance asset reliability and safety Responsibilities: Oversee complex maintenance initiatives and programs with a high degree of independence Conduct root cause analyses on incidents and equipment failures, utilizing advanced risk assessment and management processes Serve as the subject matter expert in OEMS standards, shaping maintenance strategies and documentation Optimize maintenance and capital expenditures by refining company specifications, SOPs, and operational standards Work alongside key stakeholders to tackle operational issues creatively and effectively Provide in-depth analysis and recommendations, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability Location & Other Key Details: This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
