Role Summary
Based in Cambridge, Ontario, the Plant Controller is responsible for managing all financial aspects of Bimeda’s two main North American manufacturing facilities in Cambridge, Ontario and LeSueur, Minnesota. The Plant Controller will ensure effective management of financial performance and operations. The role requires a strategic and hands-on plant controller who can provide financial guidance, analysis and recommendations to drive business growth, efficiency and profitability. This individual will collaborate with senior management, operational teams and other departments to optimize financial results and ensure Bimeda meets its long-term financial goals. The Plant Controller will be a strategic finance business partner to the on-site leadership teams. This position involves quaterly travel to support multi-site operations.
Key Role Specific Requirements
Financial/Business Partnership:
Partner with all members of the site leadership teams to ensure ownership and accountability of financial performance, whilst identifying process improvement and cost reduction opportunities across the full profit and loss statement.
Manage plant internal financial reporting and assure compliance with internal controls.
Assist in the creation and achievement of the approved plant budget.
Partner with plant manager and plant management team to achieve goals and objectives.
Analysis:
Collaborate with the plant management team to analyze operational and financial data, developing strategies that drive continuous improvement on sustainable cost reduction.
Present plant financials and scorecard to plant and business leadership.
Forecasting:
Manage the forecasting process including analyzing trends and patterns, determine the impact and making recommendation for the plant.
Cost Accounting, Inventory & Assests:
Manage systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of product costs, overhead, inventory, controls and policies.
Month End Close:
While the primary focus of this role is on performance management, the position will also include select responsibilities related to the month-end close process.

Other Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.
CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting certification strongly preferred.
A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (MBA) is considered an asset.
Experience:
8+ years’ experience as a site controller with specific knowledge of product costing. Multi-site or large single site experience preferred.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and accounting standards for Canada and the US.
Experience with driving cost reduction initiatives and process improvements in a manufacturing setting.
Skills:
