Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? We are currently seeking a Private Banker who will expertly relationship manage and advise the complex financial needs of ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients. As an accredited professional delivering an exceptional and personal client experience to UHNW clients, meeting virtually or in person according to client preference, focused on Private Banking’s core value proposition of wealth planning, credit, cash management and day-to-day banking. The candidate will be responsible for bringing new UHNW clients to RBC by building a strong network in the local community while growing and deepening existing client relationships through discovery and advice. You will also be focused on winning as One RBC and a steward of UHNW clients. You bring the best of RBC to clients, their networks and families. You will introduce clients to the right solutions, partners and capabilities at the right time, to help meet client needs both within Private Banking and across RBC. What will you do? Lead with a growth mindset, focusing on what’s possible to ensure profitable growth through new household acquisition and deliver an exceptional and personal client experience. Provide high-end relationship management and proactive advice to UHNW households delivering an exceptional client experience and building client loyalty Deliver client centricity by bringing the full power of RBC by introducing them to the right partner at the right time, such as a Wealth Management Advisor/Counsellor for long-term investment advice, or Business Financial Services for a business relationship Be present in the community in order to be relevant to existing and prospective clients, leading to the ability to provide proactive advice and solutions beyond the immediate needs Build/maintain an external Centre of Influence and internal partner network aligned with the UHNW market in order to acquire new clients and build a portfolio Introduce your Client Relationship Team: the Private Banking Associate and Private Banking Advisor teams as key advisors on managing day-to-day banking needs and Credit Structures team including both the Manager Credit Structures and Director Credit Structure as credit experts for credit advice and solutions; support the teams by leading and reinforcing a team approach to deliver on client needs Represent Private Banking by acting as an ambassador for RBC and the business What do you need to succeed? Must Have A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in providing advice & solutions to Very High Net Worth clients (both personal and business) Thorough understanding of High Net Worth (HNW) financial sales and client relationship management Minimum Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or CSC and Financial Planning designation (PFP) Nice to have Professional designations (e.g. FEA, MBA, LL.B., CFA, CPA) Experience with complex credit What’s in it for you?
