Enhancement Crew Lead

Job Title:
Enhancement Crew Lead
Main Purpose of Job:
Enhancement crew leads create and enhance beautiful outdoor spaces for our commercial and residential clients.
Reports to:
Operations Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Core Values of Wild Ridge Landscapes: Relationships, Integrity, Leadership, Professionalism, and Creativity
Garden care including weeding, pruning, deadheading and mulching gardens
Lawn mowing and trimming with electric or gas-powered equipment
Installations, including garden beds and sod
Safely working with and around equipment - training will be provided
Assist with spring clean-ups, and leaf, litter and debris clean-up in fall
Tasks including digging, sodding, handling stone and concrete products may occasionally be required
Responsibility may include supervision of other crew members
Using Wild Ridge software for tracking hours and completing health and safety forms etc. (functional phone with availability for Wild Ridge apps is required)
Qualifications:
Knowledge and identification of tree and plant care. Horticultural training is an asset
Full G license with clean abstract, truck and trailer experience is an asset
Heavy lifting is a requirement and key part of the job
Willingness to work in all types of weather (rain, cold and hot temperatures)
Willingness to accommodate irregular work schedules (some shifts may run long, or Saturday work may be required)
Working Conditions:
In early spring and late fall enhancement crews may be asked to work in cold weather temperatures where they need to dress warmly.
In mid summer enhancement crews may be asked to work in hot weather temperatures and need to drink plenty of fluids, be responsible about sunscreen use, wear hats and ensure they take appropriate breaks.
In all seasons, enhancement crews need to be prepared to be asked to work in rainy conditions and to bring appropriate gear such as rain jackets.
Enhancement crews can expect to occasionally be exposed to chemicals such as gasoline and lubricants.

Enhancement crews can expect to be asked to lift up to 50 lbs.
Motion Parameters
Enhancement crews can expect to be on their feet for long periods of time. The job requires walking, squatting and kneeling.
