BGC Okanagan invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Accounts Receivable Technician in office work model.
In this role you will perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the organization’s accounting function, such as to process, track, and record AR receipts in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The accounts receivable technician will have a major impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners. Great communication both internally and externally is crucial. Attention to detail is a high requirement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and post recurring monthly contract invoices.
Create and post manual invoices based on information received from the CFO or Directors of Operations.
Submit ministry subsidies for childcare and the ECE Wage Enhancement, post invoices and deposits.
Review contract terms to confirm they align with budgets.
Prepare and complete bank deposits for cash and cheque receipts on a weekly basis.
Reconcile weekly Moneris deposits and post transactions.
Enter bank deposits and auto-deposits into the accounting software. Record bank deposits to correct revenue lines.
Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
Files documents such as invoices, contracts, banking info, and accounts receivables and maintain the filing systems in accordance with established guidelines.
Review and update process and procedure manuals for all AR related Trade deposits.
Assist with month-end closing activities and annual financial audit.
Skills and Qualifications:
Grade 12, plus related post-secondary courses.
Three (3) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Familiar with Sage300 Accounting Software is considered an asset.
Hours:
35 hours per week: Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: $50,000 salary, RRSP, benefits, paid vacation and sick time
