You will actively participate in the development of the next generation of optical transceivers by participating in DFMEA, PFMEA, MRR, MSA and NPI processes. In collaboration with members of the Engineering and Production teams, you will be involved in implementing technical requirements, qualifying assembly methodologies, and providing staff training. This position will give you a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment.Job DescriptionContribute to the development of processes related to the assembly, packaging, and testing of optical and microelectronic modules.Participate on equipment commissioning by doing Site Acceptance Tests and First Article inspections.Contribute to research and development of new technologies by assessing design and processes for manufacturing.Participate in New Product Introduction by building preliminary concepts and prototypes.Program and maintain of high-end automated equipment.Support production activities on manufacturing processes, such as: SMT, flip chip assembly, epoxy dispensing, high accuracy die-bonding, wire-bonding, opto-electronic sub-assemblies (active and passive).Monitor and deploy Statistical Process Controls.Write manufacturing procedures.Provide training to operators.Maintain and troubleshoot assembly equipment.QualificationsDiploma of college studies in mechanical engineering or equivalent.5+ years' experience in microelectronic manufacturing.Knowledge of microelectronic technologiesKnowledge of optoelectronic technologies - an assetKnowledge with SolidWorks.Experience in programming high-end automated assembly equipment (dispensers, die bonders, wire-bonders, optical aligners, etc.) - an assetHands-on experience in handling bare dies or miniature components using tweezers, microscopes, camera systems, etc. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and change priorities.Ability to synthesize data and communicate results efficiently.Additional InformationWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
