Description
As a Warehouse Shuttle Driver with Envision Cold, you will play a critical part in transporting fresh and frozen food products between our customer’s warehouses in Ports Kells. You will utilize a company-provided manual transmission 5-ton box truck with air brakes.
The position is full-time, working Sunday – Friday starting typically at 12:00PM, working until the product delivery is complete. The Warehouse Shuttle Driver can anticipate between 40 - 60 hours per week depending on business needs, with the summer months being peak operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Safely operate a 5-ton box truck with manual transmission and air brakes.
Work closely with Warehouse staff to ensure trucks are loaded correctly.
Transport product safely and efficiently between locations per schedule.
Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Ensure goods are properly secured and protected during transport.
Communicate with Warehouse Management to coordinate daily routes.
Update Transportation Operations Manager regarding any issues, whether it be customer or product related.
Comply with all applicable provincial traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain records of any requests, changes or instructions from customers.
Other duties as requested or required.
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Pass a Police Information Check (Background Check)
Valid Class 5 License with Air Brake Certification required
10 Speed Manual Transmission Skills
Minimum 2 Years of Commercial Driving Experience
Clear written & spoken English
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable commute to Port Kells
Truck Mechanical and Reefer experience highly preferred
Ability to sit for extended hours; walk between locations as needed (1-2 blocks average)
