Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting to Onboarding Manager establishing and maintaining a control infrastructure consisting of operational processes, documentation, internal audit and regulatory reporting procedures to ensure continuous compliance with RBC and regulatory Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing laws and regulations. Administration of compliance on-boarding and monitoring functions including Know Your Client (KYC) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) pertaining to new and existing clients. Adhere to and maintain core components of the Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Compliance program function. All responsibilities carried out in accordance with Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles ensuring adherence to Privacy principles. Advisory Compliance Assist the Onboarding Manager on matters related to the oversight and maintenance of the RBC’s Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Compliance program. Adhere to and comply with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering, as well as adhering to company policies and procedures and client requirements. Assist Onboarding Manager on reportable events, breaches and other instances of non-compliance as well as remedial action steps related to the Company’s compliance requirements. Provide expert advice and proactive support relating to risk, control, and compliance to other business units such as Support and Banking Teams. Keep up-to-date with developments in area of specialism, including changes to Sanctions and business restricted lists. Develop knowledge and understanding of compliance and risk management matters relating to products and services. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the RCAP reputation and safeguarding RBC, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Operational Compliance Coordinate with internal partners such as Front, Middle and Back Office staff to obtain required information and applicable documentation related to client on-boarding and KYC production Demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness, balancing quality control, and training, coaching and dealing with complex escalations. Initiate and complete high quality KYC files inclusive of data input, research and analysis and assess during a new onboarding client or re-assessing an existing client as required by business in an efficient manner. Perform KYC tasks, including monitoring and tracking of KYC records when onboarding a new client or reassessing an existing client. Assist in the development and management of a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at RBC/RCAP Leasing Inc. Identify data anomalies and red flags for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations, and escalate for second level review. Ability to develop knowledge and understanding of compliance and risk management matters relating to products and services. Review and escalate all unusual activities to the Designated Anti-Money Laundering Officer. Assist with AML review/ investigations of account activity. Collaborate with business partners to ensure adequate due diligence process is carried out for client accounts and documentation reviews. Handle and review all enquiries raised by clients regarding client onboarding and follow up to ensure information is received by Service Level Agreement (SLA). Assist in the maintenance of documentation, appropriate recordkeeping, and due diligence in accordance with RBC and regulatory requirements Update and review forms according to local regulation requirements and work with Compliance to expedite documentation reviews, providing clarification as needed. Follow established procedures and investigate assigned problems to identify and implement solutions. Identify process gaps and provide solutions and initiatives for a future ready approach. Keep business partners informed and up-to-date about all relevant and useful Compliance related activity. Adhere to all designated timeframes and procedures to ensure on time and accurate completion of work as required by the business. Executes routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, queries etc. within relevant service level agreements. Responding promptly to any business requests relating to Compliance in an accurate, informative, and timely manner. Handle confidential information responsibly and work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy and productivity. Work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, invite and give in the moment feedback in a constructive manner, and communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner aligned to the RBC Leadership Model. Ensure sound and responsible business practices and high ethical standards within the firm, as well as the integrity of the products and services delivered to clients. Prepare onboarding stats reporting on weekly basis. Handle escalations and complaints. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Inform service partners of changes to transactional risk, excesses and contact information to ensure that all profiles are updated accurately. Develop and enhance training program for new and existing team members, educate and train employees on new processes and procedures. Any general administration and ancillary activities as may be required and related to the above functions in accordance with the business requirements of RBC.
