Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and decision client borrowing requests/transactions within delegated lending authorities (DLA) with focus on the balance of revenue maximization and the appropriate risk profile. You will ensure the safety and soundness of RBC funds through strong judgment and analytical skills guided by RBC risk policy adherence. You will assess Risk respecting the discipline imposed by bank policies and maintain Client First Focus. You will make decisions on exceptions to credit principles, rules and guidelines as required, with all applications credit scored What will you do? Adjudication Associate provides approval, decline or negotiation of credit applications/transactions within specifically assigned DLA and related accountabilities, ensuring timely delivery of credit decision Functional technical/product/operational expert and acts as escalation and/or referral point for quick problem solution Adjudicates credit from various delivery channels (e.g. Vendors, Brokers, Direct Sales etc..) advising client of decision Follows standard RBC lending policy and procedure guidelines Acts as credit and product specialists and in the normal course of adjudicating files, provides ongoing coaching for sales unit employees and peers to support credit quality and credit process risks as well as opportunity spotting for sales, When within established authorities and accountabilities, completes full verification function. Reviews transaction/source document details including authorizations, contracts and other documents ensuring: Transaction details are clearly outlined/definedWhere required, all documents are vetted to comply with product/service and form completion/legal requirements, eligibility and limit criteria and authorized policy Clear approval terms and conditions are specifically and clearly stated in order that documentation specified is obtained, and auditors can easily confirm that all outlined conditions/pre-conditions have been met prior to processing Exercises some judgment in making decisions, with escalations to appropriate levels Work requires continual reacting and adapting to change. Expected to process work volumes as measured through established service quality standards (e.g. Client Service Commitments) Follows established Coaching Routines and related activity to drive high performance and enhance client experience. What do you need to succeed?
