POSITION: R&D (Research & Development) Lab Technician REPORTS TO: R&D Manager
We are looking for an R&D Lab Technician to join our R&D team! Our R&D Lab Technician will conduct the tests, manage lab inventory, maintain instruments records, support lab and plant trials, conduct shelf life studies and so much more!

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using relevant laboratory equipment, software applications, and data analysis tools.

Flexible to work evenings and weekends to accommodate production testing, when necessary
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
You have proficiency in sensory evaluation techniques to assess the taste, texture, appearance, and overall quality of baked goods.
You have experience with laboratory equipment and techniques for sample preparation, measurements, and analysis. Understand food microbiology principles, typical spoilage organisms, and control strategies
You have excellent record-keeping skills to maintain accurate and detailed documentation of experiments, observations, and results.
You have proficiency in preparing reports, summaries, and technical documentation to communicate research findings and recommendations
EXPERIENCE
At least 6 months of R&D and or QA experience in a food or pharma production facility
You have a degree or diploma in food science, food technology or related
NICE-TO-HAVE
Hands-on baking experience is a bonus
