Job Summary The Senior Director, Data Engineering and Calgary Innovation Lab Lead will have dual responsibilities, equally overseeing the development and implementation of data engineering solutions for the capital markets business and leading the Calgary Innovation Lab. As the Data Engineering lead, this role will empower capital market businesses to seamlessly adopt the Lumina, RBC’s Analytics Enterprise Data and AI Platform, fostering deep collaboration and unifying data across the organization to unlock the full potential of analytics and AI. This will involve creating new and innovative ways to leverage data across all of businesses, defining and supporting business strategies, and providing leadership to development teams to deliver data solutions for critical applications and regulatory requirements, with a focus on AI. As the Calgary Innovation Lab Lead, this role will drive innovation and growth through the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions, leveraging the lab as a hub for creative problem-solving and experimentation. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation, developing and executing strategies to drive business growth and profitability, and fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation within the lab.
