This opportunity might be right for you if you are looking to work in a team oriented manufacturing environment where you can act as the main liaison between many different teams including Program Management, Engineering, Contracts and all functional areas in the Manufacturing Division. You will produce and maintain a Master Production Schedule consistent with the Production Plan, develop and maintain business area forecasts and gain a thorough understanding of the critical manufacturing resources, monitoring capacity throughout the cycle.In this role you can expect to:Assist with responding to Quotation Requests (QR's) by preparing functional CCP's (Company Program Plans) and extracting relevant information from appropriate departments. Apply the relevant "What if scenario's" of simulations to assure that deliveries are attainable (if the bid is successful). Use QR Template to assure all QR's have considered all equations.Coordinate Manufacturing delivery commitments to Program Management and Contracts.Analyze Customer Demand and assure that all items relevant to the manufacturing deliverables are correct, and that delivery dates are attainable. Input orders into the Order Management System.Monitor and control change to Order Policies, and Lead Time Policies.Adhere to and develop evolving GD Canada’s Master Productions Scheduling Policies and Divisional Standard Procedure for Master Scheduling.Alert Management of potential plan delinquencies. Apply the appropriate capacity planning (rough cut) to assure long term resource problems are exposed.Attend or instruct Production Controller to attend Configuration Control Board to assure ECO's are correctly classified and written. Analyze, with Production Controller, the impact of Class I ECO's on the MPS commitment.Working with Manufacturing Ops Management and Planning Staff, prepare and provide schedules for project start up. Monitor and report progress of all relevant supporting elements such as test equipment programs and hardware, processes, fixtures and etc.Monitor Master Production Schedules for potential slippage's, problems that are liable to impact final delivery of product through system inquiries and close communication with Material Planner and Production Controller.Alert appropriate management of potential delinquencies. Recommend corrective actions when necessary. Assure and recommend that Production Controllers apply appropriate input/output analysis to critical bottlenecks.Maintain minutes and monitor resultant action items.Prepare and distribute regular Project Status Summaries for relevant projects, if required. Attend Project Review and Production Reviews as required.Work directly with FG shipper(s) to assure that goods are shipped and issued on a timely and accurate manner.Maintain and presents relevant performance measures within the Manufacturing Organization.Act as backup for other Master Production Schedulers when required.QualificationsEducationDiploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related disciplineCPIM, CIRM and materials management courses an assetKnowledge, Experience, and SkillsExperience in/with manufacturing, production scheduling, bill of materials (BOM), and component management.Familiarity with production and materials processes, including their capabilities, limitations, lead times, and ordering policies.Experience in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and ERP system(s).Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all levels of management.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical and efficient solutions.SecurityMust be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.Additional InformationWe believe the unique contributions of each of our colleagues are key in our ability to drive innovation.
