ROLE SUMMARY: The Utilities Specialist is the single point of contact for helping the Powerhouse Engineers solve problems using VPO methodology and sustain maintenance plans. The successful candidate will create relationships with not only their powerhouse engineer team but also teams around the brewery to help drive improvement projects/data visibility. This role will be responsible for helping with the day-to-day operations along with short term strategy using VPO and Autonomous Teams concepts. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the brewery in achieving their targeted Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in the respective department and ensure continuous improvement Implementation of best practices and compliance in the execution Assurance of equipment reliability; preventative and continual maintenance including but not restricted to: Short term maintenance routine Collaborating with Maintenance Engineers on Execution and Prioritization Provide support for Energy and Fluid systems Brewery wide to assist user departments with troubleshooting Responsible for leading energy and fluids reduction initiatives brewery wide and influencing operating departments Responsible for Utility/Energy data analysis and manipulation - transferring this data to various Reports for Brewery, Financial, Zone Brewery Support and Global reporting systems Contractor & construction safety planning Safety Monitoring and Management of Contractors During Construction or Services Contribute to the creation of the future capital plans JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Proven analytical, influence, and negotiation skills Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office tools and preferred knowledge of computer maintenance management systems such as SAP Ability to influence peer departments with regard to utility reduction initiatives Insistent change agent driving utility reduction initiatives WHY LABATT: As one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, Labatt is a place where our people can bring out the best in themselves through a collective purpose of creating A Future With More Cheers.
