The sky is your limit What you will be doing:Leading a progressive bar team in a high end environment, focused on positive guest experiencesBe an ambassador for the hotel and bar program including offsite eventsWork with Creative Beverage Director to develop and create a leading bar programCreate bartenders spec sheets for cocktails including prep methodsConsistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleaguesPrepare and serve cocktails/mocktails and mixology beveragesConduct colleagues performance assessment and manage trainingLead the team to implement change and contribute to the innovation process within own scope of workIdentify and establish internal and external stakeholder relationshipsAssist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful wayMix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelinesAdminister purchasing/receiving procedures and analyze alcoholic beverage businessHave full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, create menu lists and preparation methodsHave knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageManage site/outlet and equipment maintenanceQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Previous cocktail menu development, menu engineering and training a mustStrong background in spirits knowledge with spirits educations courses preferred.Good wine knowledge- WSET 2 + preferredMust have BC Serving It Right CertificateMust have previous high-volume luxury food & beverage bartending experience. A 4-5 Diamond AAA/CAA or Forbes 5 Star hotel would be an asset.A Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality or Tourism is an assetExcellent knowledge of all beverage productsPrevious Point of Sale system experience an assetExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesHighly responsible and reliableStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a teamAdditional InformationYour team and working environment:With a bar, dining room, and an outdoor terrace garden, Botanist is an offer filled with wonderment and charm.
