This deployment will be one of the first major AI deliveries and one of the largest consumers of power in the region. TITLE: Project Superintendent – Data Centre / Industrial Construction LOCATION: Cambridge, ON Canada RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for field operations for assigned projects related to MEPDirects the day-to-day onsite supervision of the field labor force, delegating work appropriatelyInspects Contractor or Subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with contractMaintains good working relationships with clients, vendors, contractors/subcontractors, internal departments, and engineersWorks closely with the Construction Project Manager to ensure timely and profitable completion of each projectWorks with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the site logistics planReviews and approves Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project ManagerCoordinates site testing and inspection efforts, including conducting quality inspectionsMonitors costs, including labor, time and materialDemonstrates commitment to an injury-free environment, including communication of safety standards to labor forceManages and monitors schedules to ensure all activities meet deadlines givenPrepares and submits Superintendent’s Daily ReportsAttends and participates in project meetings, including subcontractor meetingsQualifications5+ years of experience as a Field Superintendent, Foreman, Lead, etc. or other related work and / or trade experienceIndustry experience working with construction of data centres, industrial, healthcare or other mission critical facilities preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredStrong organization, time management, and verbal/written communication skillsMust possess strong decision making, problem solving, leadership and management abilitiesFamiliarity with and ability to read and understand drawings and specificationsWorking knowledge of terms and conditions of project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase ordersAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all timesAbility to work independently and as a member of a cross functional teamAbility to travel as required by the project / clientAdditional InformationWORKING CONDITIONS:Walking and/or standing for long periods of time will be requiredBending, stooping and lifting may be requiredPeriods of construction / equipment sound and noise where protective equipment will be requiredRequired to spend time concentrating which will require attention to detail and high levels of accuracy; andRequired to meet a number of deadlines which may cause stress This position reports to the Sr. Site Superintendent.
