SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. The Opportunity
We’re seeking talented, creative, and experienced Videographers/Digital Media Specialists to support course content development for Continuing Education and Professional Development, Corporate Training, and International projects. You are a tech savvy, collaborative, and highly organized team player who will work with a range of product design professionals and subject experts to create engaging content.
You possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, supporting multiple, diverse projects and working effectively with others. Digital animation, photography, and graphic design experience are an asset.

The Role
Videography
Participate in production planning to aligns with learning design and development goals.
Produce and edit video and digital media content for educational products and distribution via learning management systems, online platforms, websites, and social media.
Organize and manage video requests from project team.
Generate or provide feedback on scripts and storyboards of video ideas and concepts.
Manage and set up video production projects, including location, technical equipment (video, audio, lighting), supplies, and props.
Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording during shoots.
Guide and direct talent, conduct video interviews. Provide creative solutions and recommendations to project team.
Manage post-production and video editing (cutting, sound mixing, color grading, etc.), including coordination and integration of photography, graphics, audio, etc.
Incorporate feedback from key stakeholders in a timely manner.
Publish videos to appropriate hosting and storage platforms.
Use industry-standard equipment and software.
Stay informed of industry trends and technologies in video and digital media content creation. Share knowledge of systems and software with team.
Support quality requirements and standards.
Digital animation, photography, and graphic design experience an asset.
Project Management
Use effective project management and organizational skills to plan, produce, and edit video/digital media content on time and within budget.
Communication and Collaboration
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to engage and interact with diverse team and stakeholders.
Collaborate and engage stakeholders to ensure integrity and quality work delivered.
Able to effectively work directly with staff and clients: listen to needs, communicate options and requirements, submit deliverables on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Two-year diploma, certificate, or related experience in video production and editing.
2+ years’ experience producing and editing videos.
Experience operating a variety of professional-grade cameras and equipment
Strong digital technology skills. Demonstrated fluency in industry standard software and technologies, with an interest in learning and apply new or emerging technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong digital animation, photography, and graphic design skills and experience are an asset
Experience in educational content development and curation an asset.
Advanced digital technology skills and knowledge of latest trends in video and digital media content creation.
Access to your own equipment.
Valid Driver's License with access to a reliable vehicle.
