Nurse Practitioner (Precision Health), TELUS Health Sky
The TELUS Health Precision Health clinic, located at the TELUS Sky building in Calgary, is looking to add experienced Nurse Practitioners with a passion or interest for functional medicine to the team. You will not only provide comprehensive evidence-based patient care incorporating innovative treatments for disease prevention, but will also mentor and support novice clinicians joining our team.
Location: TELUS Health Sky, 685 Centre Street South, Calgary, AB | Possibility to work-from-home if you’re Registered as a Nurse Practitioner in the province of Alberta
Status: Contractor
Schedule: Flexible, 20+ weekly hours if desired
Remuneration: $80-120/hr, based on experience and fit for role
As a TELUS Health Precision Health Nurse Practitioner you will:
Perform comprehensive virtual reviews of the medical history of clients, including contraindications to imaging, and order diagnostic testing (MRI, DEXA, genetic testing and lab investigations)
Consolidate results with technology enabled tools, and prepare for a detailed review of findings, linking them to body systems and actionable health & wellness strategy to promote health and educate on disease prevention
Collaborate with other Precision Health team members to foster a team-based, interdisciplinary approach to helping the client meet their health & wellness goals
Meet with clients and review their imaging & biomarker results in detail, including any incidental findings that may require follow-up or management by primary providers
Leverage state of the art technology and innovation in health & wellness, chronic disease prevention and client goal management
What do you need to apply?
Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent
Current registration as a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with prescribing and/or lab numbers
Preferred
4+ years of primary care experience as a nurse practitioner
Formal training, certification or experience in precision, longevity and/or functional medicine a significant asset
A positive, solution-based and innovative mindset, open to the perspective of others
Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary team members and clients
Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs
Commitment to delivering comprehensive client-centered care with a focus on an exceptional customer experience
