What You’ll Do
As a Recreation Aide, you’ll help bring energy, engagement, and positivity to our care homes. Your responsibilities include:
Leading group programs: crafts, games, music, fitness, social events & outings
Assisting residents to and from activities, encouraging participation
Providing personal support during programs as needed
Observing and reporting changes in residents to the supervisor or nurse
Ensuring recreation supplies and equipment are safe and well maintained
Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives
Helping orient and welcome new residents to the community
What You Bring
Completion of a recognized Recreation/Activity Certificate or Diploma
Experience in a senior care or recreation setting is a strong asset
Current First Aid and Food Safe Certification
Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for enhancing the lives of older adults
Ability to work casually and flexibly across multiple locations
Work flexible across three Vancouver sites
