Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of product throughout the supply chain. Manage customer orders through planning and purchasing. Provide support to production and procurement to remove barriers to satisfy customer requirements. Responsible for shipments, material, and order status to support on-time delivery goals. Develop long & short term plans in support of customer commitments and company financial goals.
· Coordination for assigned programs by maintaining status of orders, units, and material for all assigned programs. Responsible for all planned completion dates, bringing any schedule risks to program team. Committed to the smooth flow of product through production and subcontractors. Ensures accurate data for shipping, configuration, and reasons for late orders
· Management of MRP & accurate material demand by reviewing new orders
· Responsible for ensuring planning & purchasing data in MRP is maintained
· Proactively review and communicate any risks to the plan, then seek ways to recover the schedule
· Coordinate with Production and Program Management or BD to provide promise dates for new sales orders
· Responsible for procurement & coordination of assigned commodities
· Liaison between engineering and supply chain to support early stages of prototype procurement
· Assist in updating procedures & streamlining processes to improve efficiency of supply chain
· Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations
· Provide support in developing key performance indicators
· Support internal orders between divisions to ensure schedules are maintained
· Maintain schedules for assigned programs. Provide status for sub-assemblies and assemblies in WIP for expected completion dates.
· Coordinates with subcontractors for timely management and delivery of material, build challenges, and receipt of subassemblies.
· Coordinates with production, test, and program management to build accurate schedules that achieve company commitments and goals. Coordinate & maintain schedule progress with program management to orchestrate required activities, outside processing, subcontracting, and risks to programs.
· Coordinates kitting activities Schedules kitting activities as part of program/order schedules to ensure commitment to on-time delivery raising any risks to the team. Reviews component availability & coordinates with procurement to identify challenges and solutions. Reviews material availability prior to kit release and coordinates kit releases with Junior Planner, kitting, and production.
· Review planning processes for continual improvements to floor and MRP system practices to strengthen overall efficiency of the supply chain organization with weekly status reports to the Group Manager.
Engineering Support & Coordination by working with program management and engineering to obtain part numbers and bills of material. Participates in meetings and follows design updates for new programs.
· Support the company’s inventory goals including regular Excess & Obsolete Reviews.
· Oversee the lifecycle of materials from the moment they’re ordered to the moment they leave the factory as finished products, including shipment of material, subcontractors and shipment to the customer.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
· 4 year College Degree (BS or BA) or equivalent experience
· 8-10 Years of Supply Chain Experience
· APICS experience a plus
Minimum Requirements:
· In depth knowledge of MRP and ERP Systems.
· Experience with SIOP and cross-functional collaboration preferred.
· Candidates must have a sense of urgency, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
· In depth knowledge of production processes.
· Familiarity and understanding of ITAR regulations
· Excellent communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
