IT Program Manager – Engineering & Cloud Integration
Lead high-impact IT initiatives in the insurance industry as a Program Manager overseeing Agile software engineering teams. This hybrid role (Toronto or Waterloo) offers a chance to drive backend cloud integration, support group benefits platforms, and manage strategic technology projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of technology engineers and professionals across multi-squad initiatives including technical and regulatory programs.
• Ensure progress against key milestones where coordinated implementation is required.
• Maintain perspective on the impact of change on architectural patterns.
• Develop patterns and documentation to support long-term maintenance and compliance.
• Collaborate with domain experts to align engineering solutions with broader technology strategies.
• Translate requirements from complex, cross-functional programs into scalable technical specifications.
• Evaluate and define technology standards to ensure program-level compliance.
• Work with partner teams to redesign process flows as needed.
• Track emerging technologies and policy trends that impact engineering and operations.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a technology leadership role.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure implementation.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as React, Java, JavaScript, or NodeJS.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, test-driven development, and continuous integration.
• Strong technical and development skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to lead multiple initiatives across teams.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Collaborative mindset with mentoring and peer review capabilities.
• Willingness to learn from both success and failure.
• Experience with Azure (nice to have).
